These Bautz permanent-magnet excited synchronous motors of the Bautz L3S series consist of a coil assembly which is equipped with a 3-phase winding and a magnetic way with symmetrically positioned high quality permanent magnets. Coil assembly and magnetic way are each fully encapsulated through vacuum sealing compound. In contrast to linear systems which are driven by rotary motors, these Bautz linear motors do not face any travel length limitation. Magnetic ways can be mounted in a row to match the required travel range. The coil assembly can move any travel length without any loss of performance.
